Math: 4th Grade Lesson Plans for week of 10/16/2006

Monday  Math Last review of money. Do Quick Check and Test Prep

1-6 1-7  We will also finish Fridays assignment that we didn't finish.

Tuesday  Math No math Musical Dress Rehersal

Wednesday   Math Intro. Expressions and Equations Discuss pages 74-75- and do 1-16 on page 75

Thursday  Math Continue with equations and expressions We will do 17-37.

Friday  Math We will review what we have neen doing with equations using W. S. 20

Outcomes Met:

4.4.3 draw conclusions and solve problems using displayed data.

4.5.1 use and solve for variables in a mathematical equation.

Thursday  Reading Continue with the story. Practice the skill Cause and Effect. We will  practice using the weather today   Workkbook 52-53a

Friday  Reading Continue with the story. Review Cause and Effect using the worksheets I have. Intro.reference sources if time permits

4.1.4 demonstrate the ability to select appropriate resource materials.

4.1.7 demonstrate the ability to compare and contrast various forms of reading

4.1.4 demonstrate the ability to use guide words to locate a word in a dictionary.

Monday  English Page 30 Review We will review nouns--singular, plural, and possessive.  We will have another mixed up day because of music practice--subject to change because of music times.

Tuesday  English Plural Possessive Nouns Page 78-79 We will work on this in class. Assign 1-18

Thursday English Enrichment Biographical Dictionary Page 81 Choose 5 famous people to arrange in a b c order and write one sentence about that person that made them famous

Friday  English Check Up P. 82 This is the beginning of a review for this unit. Do all of page 82
