5th Grade ENGLISH

 Throughout the year we will continue to study grammar and parts of speech. 

We have written business letters to organizations requesting items to be sent for an auction that will be held in late April or May.  The auction is taking place because each student has been given a check register to keep track of their deposits and withdrawals.  These transactions are due to the students behavior and class achievements. 

We are in the process of designing our own cartoon characters and series.  It will be an ongoing project for the month of March.  We continue to work on meeting the state standards pertaining to 5th grade Language Arts. 

Recently, we had 3 students attend the Custer County Spelling Bee.  The students were given tests during the reading classes to qualify.  The students were:  Eric Fox, Patrick Wright, and Jami Foster.
