While I read a number of "school" books this summer,  I also spent a few hours reading "adult" books that I feel cross over for mature readers.  For those of you who enjoy a bit of mystery, intrigue and just plain scary reading, try Alex Kava.  She is a Nebraska author (Silver Creek now residing in Omaha) who investigates crimes that often have a Nebraska flair.  One combines elements of the Norfolk bank killings and the Starkweather killing spree...how much scarier can it get---for those of us who remember the Starkweather era.  Once you get into the novels it is hard to put them down.  If you would like more information on Alex, go to her official site  http://www.alexkava.com
