BAND NOTES

MINDEN BANDFEST

Saturday OCTOBER 18, 2014

 

10:30 A.M.  ARRIVE AT BAND ROOM TO LOAD BUS

10:50 A.M.  DEPART BROKEN BOW FOR KEARNEY

12:15-1:00 p.m.  Lunch in Kearney;  Your choice.

1:00 -1:30 p.m.  Drive to Minden

1:00 P.M.  Parade begins in downtown Minden.  There are 28 bands;  We are 26th .

 1:30-2:00  P.M.  Dress for parade

2:00 – 2:30   Prepare for the parade  (March in downtown Minden and back to Football Field)

3:15 -3:30 p.m – Prepare for the field show;  We will run through our field show on the practice field during this time.  When the Adams Central Band is performing we will line up outside the east gate.  Once the A C band is finished, we will proceed to the field via the east side of the track and begin our show.  (There are 10 bands doing field competition,  We are 8th.)

Following our field show performance you may return to the bus to change out of your uniforms.    Please make sure all instruments are put away on the buses and uniforms and hats are hung up.

We will leave for home as soon as the awards are given out for field show competition.

DON’T FORGET: 

  1. INSTRUMENT

  2. UNIFORM

  3. SHOES AND WHITE SOCKS

  4. HATS AND GLOVES

  5. PLUMES

  6. BANNER

  7. FLAGS

It will be around 5:30 p.m. before the field competition is finished.  We will leave for home as soon as we can get the buses loaded.  I do not plan to stop on the way home because of the late hour.
